6′ Insulated Container

The 6′ insulated container is our smallest insulated storage container model. This small container provides warm and dry storage space for small storage needs, such as on construction sites as movable tool storage. Our insulated containers are built to withstand year-round use in all weather conditions, including the challenging cold winters in the Northern hemisphere.

FAQ
This 6′ insulated container is a very popular insulated storage solution for year-round use. The insulation keeps moisture out, and with a heater, the space stays warm all year round. The container comes standard with double doors and two ventilation valves. Optional accessories include electricity, heating, and access doors. The container is only suitable for storage use (not for cargo use). We use 40mm PIR insulation for the walls, doors, and ceiling of our insulated containers. The interior walls are made of white metal plates, making this bright space easy to keep clean and resistant to moisture. What’s best about this insulated model is that you get to skip potentially moldy wool insulation and plywood walls altogether. PIR insulation does not mold or lose its thermal value, so it lasts twice as long as cheap wool+plywood containers. With the same insulation thickness, the thermal values are 50% better compared to XPS and wool insulation, maximizing the internal dimensions of the container. To give the container a finished look, we use moldings in the interior corners. We can also insulate the container with EI60 fire insulation. Standard Features

FAQS
What does "handling fee" mean?

Every time a container, whether it is a container for lease or sale, is moved around a depot, it requires a lift. The handling fee is a one-time cost that covers moving the container around in the depot areas. The fee is only applicable when you lease a container or have a one-way deal with us. We never charge you a handling fee when you buy a container outright, so there are no hidden costs.

Shipping containers are made of corten steel. This sturdy material enables them to withstand extreme circumstances (wind, water, fire, ice, salt, sun) and any possible rough handling. A shipping container is used from 5-14 years for shipping; after this, they are released and used for other purposes, such as storage containers or modified container units for food and offices.

Containers that are not used for shipping are perfectly suitable to be used as storage containers. If taken care of, a used shipping container can be used for storage up to 10 years. It is also possible to extend the storage container’s use by regular maintenance, such as, painting, patching holes, changing seals, fixing the floor and taking care of or changing twist locks.

New shipping containers are usually brought to Europe from China. A new container can last anywhere up to 30 years when used as storage as long as it is looked after properly.
